I’m Chelle, a mature graphic design student and mum of three grown-up children. I returned to education later in life to follow a passion for graphic design that’s been with me since I was 15. Recently, I discovered I’m AuDHD, which has helped me understand how I think, learn, and create. My mind balances two sides, one full of curiosity, ideas, and creative energy, and the other focused on detail, structure, and meaning. I notice small details, connect them into bigger stories, and use this balance in my design work.

I have a love for traditional heritage skills, including bookbinding, printmaking, and decorative endpapers, which led me to explore traditional ebru marbling. I’m fascinated by symbols and semiotics, and often find inspiration wandering through churchyards among old headstones, connecting history, meaning, and design.

In my work, I let ideas flow freely before shaping them with intention, creating designs that are considered, expressive, and meaningful, reflecting both the detail and the bigger story behind them.
